We're Moving!

Yep, that's right, you read that right!

We are moving!

Where to?

Maryland - and exactly where - Laytonsville! Another adventure cross country, although this time, it's not for Jason to go back to get a degree or anything but for a VP of Data Science job at a Fortune 1000 company - Radian

Sunset in Rockville, Maryland Sept 2021.

So, here I sit, writing a quick entry after months of being blog inactivity lol well, except for the two posts I just did about going to two concerts lol

Last night my wonderful group of friends from my ward and neighborhood threw me a girls' night farewell! How on earth I  kept it together, I don't know. It got a little dicey there at the end when Summer was leaving. I think these next few days until we move on Nov 12th I'm going to get a little wet under the eyes!

I will miss my friends here so much, (Seren and Carys too) I hope and pray I will be able to make new ones  - the kids too (although heck! I'm flipping 51 next month) and last year my big 50 was crap as I had the stupid Covid -19 and ended up in the hospital! That's a whole other post to write about. One I haven't bought myself to write about yet. So, this year  I won't be near any of my really good friends :( meh!

Back to moving - Here is the house :)  When we finish the rest of the basement it'll be 7552 sq ft and on a  and 1/4 lot :)

It needs updating as it was built in 2002 - and our current home here in Utah was a new build and way more in keeping with what Jason and I love. So, remodeling will be happening, new Kitchen, bathrooms, painting, removing carpets, laying new carpets, refinishing hardwood floors, and laying new hardwood and tile - which means - Shopping! Woohoo :)

And BREATHE!

So, for us, a new adventure will begin in 17 days! Seren and Carys are excited about moving which at first I was taken aback - cause I fought back at first lol but nope, they were great about it, esp, when they saw the home we just closed on and the swing set out the back garden lol

And get this, Jason's brother Mark, is buying our current home! How awesome is that and my daughter Ashton will get to stay in her room here until she finds a little apartment before her wedding in April! Oh yes, Ashton is getting married! Can you say, my year has been rather nuts, also I ended taking a trip back to Wales too in Aug to see my dad (he :( was taken into hospital * he's making a good recovery now but the reason for me getting on a midnight flight was my dad wasn't in a good way! So, yes, a very nutty year for me lol and I can't say where's my chocolate - I've already eaten one bar of Cadbury Twirl today! lol

So until, I'm somewhat settled in our new home - till then, wish us all well on driving cross country again :)

Walk The Moon - Dream Plane Tour Fall 2021

What happens when you like a few songs, and you get your 20 yr old daughter to listen to them too?

You fall in love with all of the band's songs and the band themselves πŸ’•
And that, my friends, is how the band, 'Walk The Moon' became a fav band of mine and my daughter, Ashton.  Then when you realize they are touring! WOOHOO you buy the VIP tickets!

And that is what I did. When Ashton's 21st birthday rolled around in August, I got her and myself a ticket to go see
Walk The Moon πŸ˜€

I have to admit paying for VIP tickets was worth it. We got to go to the last 15 mins of 'WTM' sound check, which they sang 3 songs, one of which was a Creed song. Then, once the sound check was over we had a Q&A - which Ashton's question got picked.

The question:
Out of all the video's you've made which was the most fun?
Answer: The latest one 'WTM' just completed, which will be the next released song/video.

We also were in the very front, next to the barrier! Such the best place to be. I also spent a small fortune lol but worth it πŸ˜‚

Also, their New Album - Heights, will be out Nov 12thπŸ™Œ

For me, 'WTM'  was one of the best concert's I've been too, and I've seen Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Enrigue to name but a few.

Nick Petricco  oozed such feeling and enthusiasm from the time he stepped on stage to the end of the set. His smile, dimples and moves - had me smiling constantly.
The whole band were amazing! Such energy all of which I love, and woke up the next day with aching arms and legs from dancing.

The 'WTM' set list:
Portugal
Avalanche
Different Colors
Giants
Fire in your house
One Foot
Next in line
Tightrope
Kamikaze (acoustic/piano)
Tiger Teeth
*random jazzy music*
Can you handle my love??
Lost in the Wild
I can lift a car
Shut up and dance
Headphones

ENCORE
Aquaman
Anna Sun

I have so many pictures and videos which would take forever to upload! So, I'll post my fav's
ENJOY

Lady A

                              Lady A

I finally got to go see my favorite country/pop band in concert! Lady AπŸ’—πŸ’—

I have to say, it was a blast and Jason came with me and as it was outdoors at the Usana we didn't have to wear a mask!

I did indulge a tiny bit and bought myself three t-shirts lol

What can I say other than, I sang my heart out and loved every minute from start to finish. Even the supporting acts were great too!

Tenille Arts

Niko Moon

Carly Pearce

But I went for, the main event, Lady A - the way Hilary, Charles and Dave all harmonized was goosebump worthy!

Here are some pictures and videos - Enjoy. I have way too many videos to upload lol so you're only getting a few. πŸ˜†
