Our New Home

Last October, Jason, I and the girls went to visit a model home in West Jordan, Utah.

Built by Holmes Homes
(the landing page of their site has a slide of homes - one of which is for Bluffdale. That pic is the one from the model home I fell in love with the model type is called Hannah)

I'd already fallen in love with the pictures of it and now was the time to see it in the flesh -- or more like, bricks and mortar! Lol

No sooner as we walked through the garage into the kitchen -- AHH! Angels singing  moment. The kitchen was my dream one and I knew this was the house for us.

That same day we signed with Holmes Homes - see the virtual tour of the exact home were having built HERE for our home to be built in Bluffdale, Utah.

It should have been built by now but as we all know....! Building permits, Design meetings to pick our colors and everything else that goes into turning wood and nails into a home, plus delayed/missed meetings later, things begun to move and boy once they get started things move along pretty quickly.

Anyways...here are some pictures of the beginnings
Second week of March.

Footings poured.

Amazing that this gaping hole will be our garage.

One week later the dirt had been filled back in.
This picture is the view from the back of our home.

The following week which was last Sat 2nd April
The garage is up

Happy 4th Birthday Carys

Our sweet youngest daughter turned 4 yesterday.

It only seemed like yesterday she was this tiny in my arms!
4 years old! Can you believe it? I can't -- time has flown by.

Carys woke to be given an original piece of artwork and a gift from her big sister, Seren.

Then it was time for school and for Carys to choose her birthday cake.
After a busy day of playing with her new toys and when daddy got home from work we all went to a local restaurant for dinner, then came home for Carys to open her gifts from us and have birthday cake.

A Fellow Writer

I wanted to do a blog post about an amazing writer, G. Jefferies. I first had the pleasure of reading his  body of work on a creative writing course. Which is a great place to start out to mold your writing talent.
Since then, we have shared ideas and bounced thoughts, doubts, characters and anything to do with writing.

I am also lucky that he kindly encourages me about my book :) Also he takes the time to edit and proof my work, of which I am grateful to no end. As I need all the help I can get lol

I love reading Gary's style and in depth stories. They pull me in and leave me wanting more. I am sure if you read his work, you too will grow to love his stories and I tell you this, he has plenty of stories in that grey matter of his to share :)

You can follow him HERE :

                       Twitter is -- @GaryJefferies10

Brown Farm Relief Society Princess Party

I am in a new church ward and on the LDS Relief Society activity committee :)

And as a body of committee members we have begun a fab new activity and celebrating the woman in our ward, by celebrating their birthdays and treating them to a Royal Evening :)

I made some simple Princess style cupcake wrappers
(Template below)

We had a lady who kindly made the cupcakes then I frosted and decorated them :)

I made this cute little Princess Saying.
I used simple Dollar Store plastic Photo frames then used some scrapbook paper, same as
cupcakes wrappers  I made and added a bow.
(Template below)

I decorated empty boxes and we laid a cute table setting.

Another lady made this cute banner.

More of my cute Princess sayings.

Each of the Birthday ladies got to wear a super cute Princess Rhinestone Crown for the night

Each sister got their own personal cupcake, we lit it and sang happy birthday.
we played two truths and a lie and enjoyed a light meal of chicken cordon bleu, salad and bread.

HERE ARE THE TEMPLATES I USED FOR THE PRINCESS SAYINGS
