Seren's Baptism

As a person of our church, when we turn 8 or join our church after the age of 8, you get Baptized just like Jesus and become a member of 'The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints'.

 SEREN WITH HER DADDY
ME, JASON, SEREN & CARYS

So, when our darling daughter, Seren turned 8 in March we knew she'd be getting baptized. A decision she made also :)
WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER AND LOVE HER TO BITS :)

Given all that, I began the process of figuring out what THEME to use for her and the family and friends who would come for refreshments afterward.

Which led me to Pinterest and the theme of RAINBOWS

THE WONDERFUL WOODEN CIRCLE WITH SEREN'S FULL NAME AND TEMPLE WAS MADE MY BY ELDEST DAUGHTER JODI WHEN WE WERE IN WALES FOR A VISIT IN MARCH.
JODI HAS A WONDERFUL LITTLE SITE:

 I MADE SIMPLE TISSUE GARLANDS
AND THOSE CIRCLE GARLANDS DANGLING ABOVE THE #8

I ALSO MADE THE TRIANGLE BANNER, WHICH I USED FOR BOTH OF OUR GIRLS' BIRTHDAYS THIS YEAR.
I PURCHASED THE RAINBOW WITH RAINDROPS BANNER FROM ORIENTAL TRADING

THE MORNING OF SEREN'S BAPTISM

AS TREATS I USED 'TASTE THE RAINBOW' AND SKITTLES.
I HAVE TO ADD - SORTING EACH COLOR BY HAND WAS TIME-CONSUMING.
I made cupcakes and used Xtreme sour candy belts as a topper as well as making the cupcake wrappers in the rainbow colors to match the triangle banner and rainbow circle decorations.

I MADE THE WOODEN HALF RAINBOW CIRCLE FOR THE SUCKERS.
I used templates from HERE AND HERE

How the table looked before everyone tucked into the food and candy and towers of individual rainbow jello.
YOU CAN SEE HOW I MADE THE RAINBOW TABLE SKIRT - HERE

Brown Farm Relief Society Princess Party

I am in a new church ward and on the LDS Relief Society activity committee :)

And as a body of committee members we have begun a fab new activity and celebrating the woman in our ward, by celebrating their birthdays and treating them to a Royal Evening :)

I made some simple Princess style cupcake wrappers
(Template below)

We had a lady who kindly made the cupcakes then I frosted and decorated them :)

I made this cute little Princess Saying.
I used simple Dollar Store plastic Photo frames then used some scrapbook paper, same as
cupcakes wrappers  I made and added a bow.
(Template below)

I decorated empty boxes and we laid a cute table setting.

Another lady made this cute banner.

More of my cute Princess sayings.

Each of the Birthday ladies got to wear a super cute Princess Rhinestone Crown for the night

Each sister got their own personal cupcake, we lit it and sang happy birthday.
we played two truths and a lie and enjoyed a light meal of chicken cordon bleu, salad and bread.

HERE ARE THE TEMPLATES I USED FOR THE PRINCESS SAYINGS

The Wizard of Ahh's - Madison 1st Ward Relief Society Activity

Last night we had our church relief society  monthly activity. To find out more about why we hold these activities HERE

I found this great skit HERE to set the scene for our Spring Clean & Get Organized activity named - 'The Wizard of Ahhs'.

I decided to go along with the theme of decorating and setting the scene like the movie, The Wizard of Oz - well, as best I could with a small budget and surroundings;) I made it look like everything was un-organized. Even so, I think it turned out well.

I made some giant tissue flowers and lollipops for the serving table

Caramel Candy Suckers - to represent the Lollipop Guild

I made some, Red Ruby Cookie Slippers and spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
Toto was keeping a close eye on those for me :)

Kaylee was our Dorothy, her little cutie of a daughter was our Toto.
As you can gather from the color of my face, I was the wicked Witch and my daughter Seren
Just had to make sure she got in on the picture moment :)

Sarah, was our Glenda the good :)

Me and my two girls, Seren and Carys.

Seren did her own make-up :) for the evening. Carys opted for a little green eyeshadow and one beauty spot on each cheek. At the moment, Carys like to poke her tongue out while taking a picture!

Happy 3rd Birthday Carys

How time flies by!

Three years ago we welcomed our second daughter, Carys Faith Feriante into this world and ever since that day, Carys has been a delight except when she has those little screeching frustration episodes lol.

HAPPY THIRD BIRTHDAY CARYS

The girls helped to decorated the night before - the decorations look great.

The first thing Carys said when she woke was, "Where's the presents."
My reply was, "we have to wait for daddy and Seren to wake first." :)

Big sister Seren supervised the opening of the presents!
With the hopes of - when do I get to play with Cary and her new toys! Lol

And Carys didn't dash Seren's hope of playing either. Seren was happy to get to play with Cary's and her new toys.

Time to
 PARTY!

The kids played pass the parcel.

Colored  paper teacups and stick on stickers.

Time to sing
Happy Birthday.

We did a joint party for Carys and Seren, so Seren will get to celebrate twice. Once on Cary's birthday and on her own birthday on the 22nd.

Musical Statues and funny faces!

Time for presents!

Carys had fun when it was time to take the decorations down!
