Celebrating birthdays in our new home.

I thought I'd kill two birthdays with one post 😆

Seren turned 12! Carys turned 10! 

Where does the time go? Off with the fairies or dragons? Who knows ~ I just know they are both one more year older!

As per my usual 😁  I decided to go all out-ish lol it was, after all, their first birthday in our new home.

I'll start with Carys, her birthday was on March 14th and Seren on the 22nd March. Both girls wanted their parties to take place in summer - hence summer themed

THE CHOCOLATE GAME

you take turns throwing dice and when you get a 6 you have to put on, gloves, hat, scarf & glasses and try to eat as much chocolate as you can before the next person rolls a 6, then you have to take off those items and the other person gets to put them on.... as the game caries on till all the chocolate has gone

It's Trolls Time

When you're blessed with the ability to draw and paint, when parties or anything that would require something cool to display - you get called upon.

So, it was this past week, when my daughter messaged me saying that my son's girlfriend wanted some Trolls, namely Poppy and Branch painted for her little one's (my granddaughters) 2nd birthday and would I help.

It was wonderful helping out my daughter and giving her some tips how to blend paint and use certain tricks to achieve, what I think (and so does she and everyone else whose seen it) an amazing outcome of back breaking, sore knees, joint hard work.

We started with some plywood, gave it a couple of coats of white paint.

Then sketched out the design.

Then before we painted my daughters husband cut out the faces, so the children can put their own faces in for pictures.

Then we got to work. I painted Poppy and the background, while my daughter Jade painted Branch

Then Jade printed off the TROLLS logo and glued it on, then did a layer of Elmers glue to seal it. Also her hubby added some plywood to the side so it could stand up.

Then it was time to party!

And my daughter is thinking now to place and AD to rent this out for parties and birthdays!

Happy Birthday Seren And Carys

This year Seren turned 6 and Carys turned 4 and the theme for their joint party

Princess - Pink Princess.

And let me say I think  I went overboard with the pink. Talk about  Pink explosion! 

I used plastic tablecloths from the dollar store and hung them over the windows, made banners and lots of balloons.

Although, it looked fabulous even I say so myself :)
