Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Even though I'm Welsh, I am an American Citizen and I do celebrate Thanksgiving Holiday, with loved ones. It's a time to give thanks, give thanks to those we love and care about.

Well, time to unbutton your jeans to allow that one more small slice of pumpkin or apple pie into your mouth.

How many of us feel and will feel like this today?

Our Thanksgiving meal is all over and done with, now it's time to curl up on the sofa and indulge in a movie. My thanksgiving day actually started yesterday, with preparing all the vegetables, setting out the serving dishes and whatnot.

Then up at 6 to prep the turkey and pop it in the oven, then see to my waking girls and start the cooking, as our Thanksgiving dinner was set for 1pm.

We had turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato, green bean casserole, homemade thyme, rosemary & sage stuffing, freshly made cranberry sauce, carrots and rutabaga and yummy homemade gravy.

For dessert, the traditional, pumpkin pie, apple pie and I made, single serving, no bake pumpkin pie in mason jars.

I wish all my readers a Happy Thanksgiving and take the time today to give thanks so someone you care for.

Drop Cloth 'Give Thanks Banner.'

Time
To
Give Thanks.

If you have a spare 30 minutes, then you can make a quick 'Give Thanks' Banner.

I used Scrap Drop Cloth, Twine, Painters Black Pen, Glue Gun, Scissors.

I always keep the hard backing from scrapbooking, they make great templates.

Take your Drop Cloth and trace around your template.

Cut out your pattern, using a pinking shears

Next I used chalk, to draw my letter on to each section.

Take your Painters Pen and trace over you chalk outline.

Next I filled out the lines

Then filled the letter in.

Added a little extra

Now when you painting on drop cloth material, the pen will become matted with the fibers

So just take some kitchen towel and wipe off.

When you have finished filling in your letters, Its time to add you twine.

Using a glue gun glue a line close to the top and glue your twine on.

I added a blob of glue over the twine at the ends and middle, just to be safe :)

Cut some  thin strips of the drop cloth.

Tie them onto the twine, in between each letter.

Now its ready to hang

Give Thanks Banner
